The largest ever Basant event in Islamabad
organized in collaboration with the Capital
Development Authority (CDA)
Islamabad March 13, 2005: Instaphone,
one of the pioneering and leading mobile phone
service providers in Pakistan celebrated basant
in the Federal Capital, Islamabad today. The
event, the biggest ever basant festival to
have been held in Islamabad was organized
by Instaphone in collaboration with the Capital
Development Authority (CDA).
The event coincides with the recent service
launches by Instaphone, that have made huge
waves on the rapidly developing mobile telephony
scene of Pakistan. The company ‘s
latest offers of 50 paisa for SMS and 99
paisa per minute call charges have been
huge hits with the company’s large
subscriber base.
The venue selected to host this extremely
large affair was the the F-9 park, more
popularly known as Fatima Jinnah Park to
Islamabad’s residents. The basant
festivities attracted thousands of enthusiastic
citizens of the city, across diverse strata
and backgrounds. Apart from the Basant’s
regular Kite Flying competition, other major
attractions included a musical concert,
food stalls and a special fun and games
arena
Also of particular interest to visitors
were the special Instaphone offers that
were available at the event. Being branded
by Instaphone, the Basant venue had special
stalls that were setup to educate consumers
about new value added offerings by the company.

at the event, Adnan Ahmed, National Marketing
